The following is a
listing of public service events which are requesting volunteer amateur
radio communications support. The sponsoring organization and point of

Saturday, August 23 - Breast Cancer Fund's Bike Against the Odds bicycle ride. Once
again, we are looking for hams willing to drive their mobile-equipped
vehicles to patrol the route, as well as stationary rest stop and
lakeside communications. All levels of experience are welcome, as we
have a procedural manual to work from.
The ride is based in Oakland, with routes extending into San Leandro,
Moraga, Orinda, Berkeley and a bit beyond.
As usual, we look forward to seeing who will volunteer their RV, van,
bus or tent for Net Control this year. Starts and ends at the park a Lake Merritt. Once again, we are looking for hams willing
to drive their mobile-equipped vehicles to patrol the route, as well
